New Report Examines Strategic Investments in Black Male Achievement

The Campaign for Black Male Achievement (CBMA) and Foundation Center are pleased to announce the 2017 edition of Quantifying Hope: Philanthropic Support for Black Men and Boys. New Disaster Giving Report Shows Greater Focus on Risk Management, Complex Humanitarian Emergencies

Foundation Center and the Center for Disaster Philanthropy (CDP) announce the fourth edition of their annual research report, Measuring the State of Disaster Philanthropy 2017: Data to Drive Decisions. The new report documents $23 billion in private, public, corporate, and individual disaster-related giving to address major disasters and humanitarian crises that affected millions globally in 2015.

Council on Foundations and Foundation Center Release First-Ever Report on International Giving by U.S. Community Foundations

A first-of-its kind analysis of international grantmaking by large U.S. community foundations was released today by the Council on Foundations and Foundation Center. Local Communities with Global Reach: International Giving by U.S. Community Foundations shows that international grantmaking is becoming more common among U.S. community foundations, which traditionally make grants in locally-bound geographic communities.

Foundation Center and the International Human Rights Funders Group announce the release of Advancing Human Rights: Update on Global Foundation Grantmaking. The 2017 report analyzes $2.7 billion of human rights funding in 2014 — the latest year for which complete data is available — by global region, issue area, intervention strategy, and population group, revealing the actual priorities of foundations and bilateral and multilateral donors.
