

A. Nicole Campbell is Co-CEO and President of Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), a social justice nonprofit organization that supports grant makers, donors, projects, and leaders to effectively scale great ideas globally. She is widely recognized for helping mission-driven organizations strengthen strategy, governance, operations, and the effective flow of philanthropic capital.
With more than two decades of experience across the public and private sectors, Nic is a trusted advisor to philanthropies, collaboratives, movements, and nonprofit organizations in the United States, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and around the world. She has advised executive teams and boards in nearly every region of the world on grant-making strategy, legal and compliance frameworks, organizational design, and institutional transformation.
Prior to joining RPA, Nic founded and led the Build Up Companies (BUC), a federated group of companies focused on strengthening the capacity of brave systems-change funders to transform life outcomes for historically marginalized communities. Previously, Nic was Senior Director of Operations and Foundation Counsel for Dalio Philanthropies; Deputy General Counsel and Secretary for the Open Society Foundations; and Associate General Counsel for the New York Community Trust. She began her career as a tax attorney in private practice.
Nic received her B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law, her LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law, and her Certification in Executive Leadership from INSEAD.
