Candid profiles
Nonprofits are facing fierce competition for funding, but there’s some good news: the latest research confirms that funders give on average 62% more in contributions to organizations that demonstrate transparency. Through their Candid profiles, nonprofits can make the most compelling case for support to capture donors’ and funders’ attention. We collaborate with partners across the sector to help their members, grantees, and broader networks unlock greater fundraising potential through their Candid profile.

Demographics via Candid
Demographics via Candid empowers nonprofits to share their demographic data one time on their Candid profile, where it can be accessed and re-used by all. Through this sector initiative, Candid freely provides our funder partners with nonprofit demographic data to make the granting process less burdensome and more efficient.

Grants reporting
When foundations share information about their grants, it benefits the entire social sector. Gain insights into your impact, empower nonprofits, and unlock free access to Foundation Maps, Candid’s premier visualization tool.

Fiscally sponsored projects
Fiscally sponsored projects are vital yet often overlooked contributors to the social sector. With an estimated 40,000 projects driving critical community work, their impact is immense. However, limited visibility restricts their access to funding and nonprofit resources.
Candid is working to change that. By collaborating with fiscal sponsors and partners on this sector initiative, we’re gathering data to make these projects visible in Candid search—amplifying their reach and impact.

Improving data quality
Candid collaborates with organizations that lend their subject matter expertise, community connections, and data analysis experience to strengthen the accuracy and depth of our data.
Partners contribute corrections and enhancements, particularly in coding and classification, that improve data for the entire social sector. Together, we ensure that the stories reflected in the data are more complete, inclusive, and actionable.
