Grantmaker profiles are comprehensive. To quickly evaluate if a funder is a good fit, review key profile information such as subject and geographic areas served and their programs.

Tip 2: Don’t skip on grants data
Grants data gives you deep insights into a funder’s giving. Use this data to shape your outreach, proposals, and donation size.
Note: Most grants do not come from requests for proposals (RFPs). Even if a grantmaker does not currently have an RFP listed, you should continue your outreach if you have found a grantmaker aligned with your organization who has funded similar projects in the past.

Tip 3: Make connections with key decision makers
If you think a funder is a good fit after reviewing their profile information, navigate to the People tab. There you can find key contacts and a link to their LinkedIn profile. Reach out and connect with them to help grow your mission.
