Tezeta Tamrat

Tezeta Tamrat is a Manager at New Profit, where she manages youth mental health initiatives within the Education portfolio. In this role, she has shepherded publications for the field of philanthropy, including the release of a national landscape analysis on youth mental health philanthropy aimed at influencing philanthropic investment toward more community-rooted approaches with a focus on access and opportunity. Tezeta’s passion for youth mental health began with undergraduate research in Ethiopia, where she studied the sociopolitical and cultural stigma surrounding mental illness. She holds a Dual MBA in Social Impact and an MA in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School at Brandeis University, and a BA in Africana Studies and Political Science from Davidson College.
