Tammy Tibbetts

As CEO since 2012 (and co-CEO as of January 2025), Tammy has taken She’s the First from the first dollar donation to $17M+ in cumulative revenue. She leads a global staff with girl-centered, anti-oppressive values and vision – and oversees the organization’s strategy, finance, fundraising, and communications.

Tammy is a first-gen college graduate who serves on the Board of Trustees for her alma mater, The College of New Jersey. Her first career path was in magazines, where she was Seventeen’s inaugural social media editor. She is the author of Impact: A Step-by-Step Plan to Create the World You Want to Live In (Hachette PublicAffairs) and loves guiding individuals to maximize their purpose. She was a Diane von Furstenberg “DVF Award” winner, an International Women’s Forum Fellow, has given three TEDx talks, and received several media accolades. She is based in Brooklyn, New York.
