Steve Froehlich is Chief Customer Growth Officer at GoFundMe, where he leads customer success, sales, and growth for the company’s nonprofit customers. In this role, he oversees a unified nonprofit sales, success, care and community fundraising organization and works closely with product, technology, marketing, and go-to-market teams to help nonprofits and their supporters achieve stronger fundraising outcomes.

Steve brings more than a decade of leadership experience at the highest levels of the nonprofit sector. Most recently, he served as Chief Revenue & Development Officer at ALSAC, the fundraising organization for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where he led mass marketing, events, corporate partnerships, major gifts, planned giving, and digital fundraising. During his tenure, Steve and his teams quadrupled annual revenue, from $700 million to more than $2.8 billion, making St. Jude the largest single-cause operating charity for cash donations. Prior to ALSAC, he held senior fundraising roles at the ASPCA, Greenpeace, the Brooklyn Historical Society, and Sanctuary for Families.

A lifelong fundraiser, Steve is known for his data-driven approach, growth mindset, and ability to build high-performing teams. He holds a BA from American University and an MPA in Nonprofit Management from New York University, and has been recognized throughout his career with multiple industry honors, including being named Nonprofit Fundraiser of the Year by the DMFA. He lives in New Jersey with his family and works with teams and partners across the country.
