Steina Bjorgvinsdottir

Steina Bjorgvinsdottir is the Executive Director of the Funder Safeguarding Collaborative and provides strategic leadership to this young global network, driving the strategic direction, evolution and growth of the FSC. She also oversees stakeholder relations and governance of the Collaborative. With two decades of experience in child protection, organizational development and humanitarian action, Bjorgvinsdottir is deeply committed to protecting vulnerable populations around the world. She holds a postgraduate degree in international human rights law, a master’s degree in international development and a bachelor’s degree in international social work. She brings a versatile skill set from previous roles at organizations such as the Oak Foundation, UNHCR and UNICEF.
