Sharmila Rao Thakkar

Sharmila provides nonprofit & philanthropic coaching, planning & communications services through her practice SRT Advising & Consulting. In one of her current roles, she has been leading the Staten Island Not for Profit Association, a membership organization providing capacity building and technical assistance to nonprofits in NYC, and Staten Island Community Organizations Active in Disaster, a coalition of nonprofits and partners working to be better prepared to handle emergencies and disasters, such as most recently the COVID-19 pandemic.
