Matthew Collins-Gibson is Vice President, Philanthropy, Foundations, and Board Engagement, at the International Rescue Committee. He oversees over $200M of the organization’s high-value private fundraising and serves as a member of the IRC’s External Relations Leadership Team. He previously worked for over 17 years at Human Rights Watch, where he last served as the Deputy Director, Development and Outreach. In that role, he oversaw the organization’s leadership gifts, foundations, direct and digital marketing, planned giving, prospect research, and development operations and creative functions. During a two-year hiatus from HRW, Matthew worked at J.P. Morgan Chase as a Business Manager in Risk Reporting. He oversaw global operations, governance, and communication for a staff of over 200 people. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international service from American University and a master’s degree in international politics from New York University.
