Grants Resource Librarian, The Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County

Kent Mulcahy has been with the Public Library of Cincinnati and Hamilton County for nearly 10 years and has served as the grants resource librarian since September 2017.

Aside from a monthly set of four consistently well-attended classes, Kent regularly presents off-site workshops on the Foundation Directory Online to both large and small organizations in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky areas. Kent’s favorite compliment to receive is that his classes make, in one attendee’s words, “what could easily be stuffy and intimidating topics and databases fun.”

He earned his master’s in classical guitar performance from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music in 2010, and a master of science in Library Science degree from the University of Kentucky in 2015.

Kent lives in Covington, Kentucky, with his spouse Katie (also a librarian), red-headed two-year-old son Max (not a librarian … yet), Labrador mix, Raleigh, and American Pitbull, Frances (dogs are not eligible to be librarians).
