Dr. Kellea Miller is a feminist researcher and activist. For two decades, she has advocated for bigger, better, more responsive human rights philanthropy including leading Astraea’s groundbreaking LGBTI Global Development Partnership with USAID, helping establish UN Women’s $65-million Fund for Gender Equality, and advocating for a robust feminist funding ecosystem at AWID and Mama Cash. She is the author of numerous reports and articles aimed at making funding data relevant, accessible, and actionable – including for supporting racial justice, enacting gender equality, and overcoming barriers to reaching movement directly. Kellea holds a PhD in Sociology and a BA in Public Policy & Feminist Studies. She lives in Northern California, where she cooks, debates, and frolics with her family, and serves on the boards of the International Accountability Project and Community Beyond Violence.
