Idana became the CEO of The Russell Berrie Foundation in January 2022 after previously serving as chief program officer beginning in 2017.
Idana, who holds a PhD in History from the University of Pennsylvania, has experience as both a grantmaker and nonprofit executive, serving as a vice president at Prizmah: Center for Jewish Day Schools, where she partnered with the CEO to build an organizational structure and culture for this newly created nonprofit.
Previously, Idana was Co-Executive Director at RAVSAK, one of Prizmah’s legacy organizations, and served in a number of strategic grantmaking roles at the Jewish Funders Network. She worked at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation and is the author of Crafting a Class: College Admissions and Financial Aid, 1955-1994.
