Lynette M. Fraga, PhD, is the Chief Executive Officer of Reach Out and Read. She is a mission-driven executive with over 30 years of experience working at the intersection of nonprofit leadership and change management; racial, social, and economic justice; identity and inclusion; and human-centered design solutions.

Before joining Reach Out and Read, Dr. Fraga was the Founder and CEO of Fiercely Forward, LLC, a strategic consulting and executive coaching practice that helped leaders navigate the complexities of social, organizational, personal, and professional change during transitions and crises.

For 10 years, she served as CEO of Child Care Aware of America, a national advocacy nonprofit and network of 400 state and local organizations providing child care services and family supports. She also spent 11 years at ZERO TO THREE, an organization focused on ensuring all babies and toddlers have a strong start in life, where she held multiple leadership roles, including Chief Program Officer. Her career also spans higher education, family partnership, child welfare and family violence prevention, juvenile justice, military child care, and social entrepreneurship.

Dr. Fraga has served on numerous committees and advisory groups addressing issues such as early childhood development, health and wellness, and climate. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Generations United, Let’s Grow Kids, and The Campagna Center.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Rehabilitation from the University of Arizona, a Master of Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma, and a Doctorate in Family Life Education and Consultation from Kansas State University.
