Community and Growth Manager, ioby
Dana Schneider works to expand ioby’s community of supporters through individual giving and events who, in turn, help boost neighborhood leaders making positive civic change across the country. She also plans our webinar program, which provides neighbors with a unique opportunity to learn from one another and build new relationships. She is grounded by a commitment to bringing her full self everywhere she goes and the belief that there is power in bringing people together to transform the world.
Prior to joining ioby, Dana had her own event planning and fundraising consultancy, collaborating with small and mid-sized social justice groups on resource and program development. Dana has also had held a range of leadership positions at the Foundation for Jewish Culture, Jews for Racial and Economic Justice, and Jewish Voice for Peace. She studied feminist theory at Wesleyan University and nonprofit management and policy at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service. Dana loves building community, seeing live performances, visiting the ocean, and doing creative cooking projects with her wife Kathleen, their daughter Esperanza, and their elderly Chihuahua mix, Kaylee.
