Chelsea Newhouse is the Center’s communications associate. In addition to managing all aspects of the Center’s websites, publication and multimedia production and design, and new and traditional media outreach, Chelsea manages the Philanthropication thru Privatization Project, the Nonprofit Economic Data Project, and the Nonprofit Works Interactive Database. She works closely with Center director Lester Salamon on the international UN TSE Sector Handbook, Comparative Nonprofit Sector, and Global Volunteer Measurement Projects, and coordinated the Listening Post Project, the New Frontiers of Philanthropy Project, and the International Fellows in Philanthropy Program. Prior to joining the Center in 2008, she worked for the Johns Hopkins University Department of Molecular Biology & Genetics, the Baltimore Sun, and as a community organizer for Clean Water Action and the Democratic National Committee. She holds a degree in Philosophy from the University of Virginia.
