How to search for prospects

1

Tip 1: Start your search with a simple phrase

If you know the organization you are looking for, simply enter their name or EIN in the search bar to find their nonprofit profile. Their profile will give you all the information you need to find and connect with them.

You can also start a search more broadly. Enter a short phrase that describes the type of nonprofit you are looking for—such as their subject area and the location. This will return results for nonprofits that fit those particular criteria.

Note: Click on the Organization type drop-down to refine results to show only Nonprofits.

Tip 2: Use intuitive filters to refine your search results

Use filters to refine your broader search results. With insights from the nonprofit profiles, consider how you might want to filter further— for example, filtering by Seal level will bring nonprofits who have earned a Platinum Seal of Transparency to the top. These nonprofit profiles have contributed the most data and are the most up to date.

You can sort your search results in a variety of ways—alphabetically, by total assets, by total revenue, or by Seal level. Try sorting by total assets to find nonprofits with the resources to accommodate your services.
