Candid announces CEO search
Candid’s Board of Trustees is launching a search for its next chief executive officer to succeed Bradford K. Smith, who will retire from the role at the end of 2021. Brad has devoted his career to the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors and leaves a lasting impact, having positively transformed Foundation Center and then successfully combined it with GuideStar to create Candid, positioning it for continued progress under new leadership.
“Having worked closely with Brad during my time serving on Candid’s board, I’ve experienced firsthand how his innovative thinking and creative solutions have greatly contributed to the social sector by providing the insights and tools it needs to thrive,” said Sylvester John, Candid’s Board Chair. “The board is fully committed to a rigorous and well-planned search as we seek to enthusiastically welcome our next leader to further advance the Candid 2030 vision.”
