Crystal ensures that Candid has the mission critical business systems and intelligence it needs to operate effectively and deliver on its mission. She oversees a team of analysts and technologists who set the strategic direction for system and technology improvements for finance, eCommerce, customer relationship management, order processing, customer service, and more. Crystal is proud to lead the team that continues to evaluate and execute Candid’s newly combined business systems and intelligence initiatives, while managing the inherent cultural changes involved.
Crystal brings over 20 years of operations and technology experience to her role. She started her career as a research associate at the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University. In 1994, Crystal joined Foundation Center to author research reports but very quickly shifted to the organization’s fledgling technology department, leading numerous system implementations and integrations along the way. Her team also spearheaded Foundation Center’s product intelligence initiative.
Crystal holds a B.A. from Bennington College and an M.F.A. from Vermont College of Fine Arts.
